INSPIRATION: For Nicole’s look tonight, we were inspired by the beauty of her beaded Armani dress. We wanted her hair to be pretty and easy so that it complimented the dress and gave it its moment.

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: Starting on damp hair, I applied Weightless Conditioning Water and Russian Imperial Mousse to prep Nicole’s strands and to add shine. I then used the Olivia Garden Divine Wet Detangler Brush to brush the product through from root to tip. I then blew out the hair using the Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Professional Hair Dryer and the Olivia Garden ESSENTIALS Styling Round Smoothing Brush to add volume.

Once Nicole’s hair was completely dry, I began to smooth strands using the Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Flat Iron leaving out the very front pieces. Next, I applied Anti-Frizz Formula to add extra softness and silk. I then gathered Nicole’s hair to the right and broke it up into two sections for a fishtail braid.

Once Nicole’s hair was braided, I curled her face framing pieces using the Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Flat Iron. To ensure hold and add extra shine, I used Anti-Frizz Formula. Next, I spritzed a generous amount of the hairspray to tame any unwanted frizz and fly-aways. Since we wanted the look to be effortless, I finished by pulling the braid gently apart and spraying a small amount of hairspray in it to make it look worn-in.
